ETT technology, or Extended Tip Technology has been pioneered fully by BorgWarner turbochargers. Just take a look at the compressor wheel at the bottom of the page and notice the massive exducer of this turbocharger! The taller the wheel, the more easily it can run high boost. The longer the tips, the longer it can sustain high boost under loads. Extended fins do not hamper spool-up what so ever. The compressor wheel is designed to remove excess weight, which by reducing overall rotating mass, helps to keep the wheel spinning during off throttle situations. Of particular importance is the reduction of weight at the outer edges which is a major factor for reducing inertia. The weight reduction and where it is reduced allows these compressor wheels to spool FAST.

BorgWarner did not stop there, the compressor cover is fully cast to match the compressor wheel, not adapted from some other application that wasn't designed for performance. The cover features a fully functional port shroud known as Map Width Enhancement Grooves that allow air to be pulled and fed directly into the second set of blades on the compressor wheel outside of the main inlet. This most noticeably increases the efficiency of the compressor as well as over air flow, hence the name, Map Width Enhancement Grooves: it produces "wider" compressor maps!

This unit is offered in a Bullseye-Performance Mitsu style bolt on turbine housing. This turbine housing bolts right to any 1G/2G/EvoIII cast manifold combo for easy installation! The unit is also available with a 38mm internal wastegate for even easier installation!

This turbo's little brother, the S200 is smaller than Garretts world famous T-67 Kahuana compressor wheel, but actually beat it out in some back to back dyno testing. This turbo is a full 67mm at the little end and huge on the back side making it easy to run moderate boost levels of 20 to 40 pounds if the need arises.
