One major difference in a turbocharged car, vs. a non-turbo is the volume of air being used by the engine. For example ten lbs of boost uses 10 times the amount of air of a non-turbo engine! So the key to getting the most power out of any turbocharged vehicle is literally getting the air both in and the spent exhaust OUT! PERRIN understands that and we make a variety of exhaust products to facilitate that goal. The first in most clients’ wish lists is the cat-back exhaust after that is the downpipe shown here.

The downpipe connects to the outlet of the turbo, and travels back to the catalytic converter. The factory chose to make this a miniscule 2 1/4”. Well PERRIN quickly discovered that 3” was not only more efficient, but produced more HP and TRQ.

Crafted from 3” 304 Stainless Steel, mandrel bent and TIG welded, this product insures smooth exhaust flow back to the catalyst. Making crisp boost and throttle response when needed. PERRIN also was able to get this all to snake easily under the body of any EVO 7/8/9 model including the MR. Combined with a reasonable price and easy installation the question is better asked why NOT get the PERRIN downpipe?
